Instructors teaching in the Faculty of Arts & Science are invited to an upcoming Lunch & Learn on Fostering Critical Reading Across the Disciplines (Monday November 3, 12:00 - 1:00pm on Zoom). In conversation with Dr. Paola Bohórquez (Assistant Professor Teaching Stream, Woodsworth College, Director of the Academic Writing Centre, and Coordinator of the Academic Bridging Program), in this session we will discuss the purpose and importance of critical reading across disciplines, practical strategies and activities for engaging students in critical reading, common challenges and approaches to mitigating critical reading challenges, and look forward to fostering critical reading in the future.
