Data Sciences Institute (DSI) Doctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships Info Session – Dec. 10, 2025

The DSI Doctoral Student Fellowships and Postdoctoral Fellowships support multi/interdisciplinary training and collaborative research in data sciences that include faculty from the University of Toronto and researchers from DSI external funding partner institutions. To be considered for a Fellowship, applicants must pursue a research project that has a data sciences focus, through the development of novel methodology or the innovative application of existing approaches. New for this round, proposed projects must be categorized within at least one of four methodological pillars.  

Applications for both fellowships are due by January 23rd, 2026. 

Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend this information session, hosted by Professor Laura Rosella, DSI Associate Director, Education & Training. The session will cover information about the DSI and the overall Fellowship application process.  

The session will include time for Q&A. We also welcome any questions you may have in advance which you can submit within the registration form.
