- Description
- Instructors teaching in the Faculty of Arts & Science are invited to the upcoming Teaching in Arts & Science session on Annotation assignments and activities (Wednesday, February 25, 2026, 12-1 pm EST on Zoom). Annotation, whether completed individually, in pairs, or collaboratively, offers a flexible way for students to engage deeply with texts, images, data, and other course materials. This session will highlight the pedagogical benefits of annotation-based learning and demonstrate practical approaches using tools such as Hypothesis to support interactive, purpose-driven engagement. Participants will leave with strategies for designing annotation activities and assignments that strengthen close reading, critical thinking, and evidence-based interpretation, while also creating opportunities for dialogue and community-building.
