Getting Ready for Teaching in Fall 2026: Course Foundations: Assessments, Grading, and Feedback

Description

Instructors teaching in Arts & Science are invited to join the upcoming Getting Ready for Fall 2026 workshop. The session offers an overview of the foundations of assignment design and set up in Quercus, including: 

  • Course alignment and scaffolding assignments and activities
  • Considerations around Generative AI in teaching and learning, and guidance about other educational technology tools 
  • Developing quizzes, tests, and final exams, and how to build quizzes in Quercus 
  • Providing effective feedback, and setting up the Quercus Gradebook and SpeedGrader

Instructors new to teaching in the Faculty of Arts & Science are encouraged to attend.
